A Journey Through the Long Mynd
This filming adventure began at Pole Cottage, where I parked and set off across the plateau. Despite the recent rain, the ground was firm, making for an easy hike through heather-covered hills and expansive countryside views. The wild ponies of the Long Mynd made an early appearance, and I managed to capture fantastic drone shots and close-ups of these iconic creatures grazing peacefully.
As I moved south of Grindle, the landscape opened up into vast, rolling hills, bathed in soft evening light. The Shropshire Hills are known for their changing weather, and this trip was no exception. Dramatic clouds drifted in, adding depth and movement to the footage, making for some stunning cinematic sequences.
I reached Callow Hill just before sunset, setting up camp with a panoramic view over Church Stretton, Caer Caradoc, and The Wrekin. A perfectly framed shot for anyone looking to establish the beauty of the English countryside.
As the night fell, temperatures dropped below freezing, but I was well-prepared. I set up the timelapse cameras to capture the movement of clouds and moonlight over the valley. The night scenes, featuring my illuminated tent under the stars, add a magical touch to this collection.
Dawn Over the Shropshire Hills
At 5 AM, I woke up to a cold and misty sunrise, with low cloud swirling around the peaks. The final shots of this collection capture:
The red sun breaking over the hills.
Wild ponies grazing in golden morning light.
The mist rolling through valleys.
A beautiful British rural landscape, transitioning from night to dawn.
This stock footage pack is perfect for outdoor adventure projects, documentaries, and cinematic travel films.
