Branching Out: Discovering the Magic of MH Landscape Photography (and Why Trees Are Awesome!)

Let me introduce you to one of my favourite landscape photographers….

Martin Hajdukiewicz (Yes, I checked the spelling), at mhlandscape.co.uk, is breathing new life into his photography. He's been quiet for a bit, as he admits, but he's back with a renewed focus on sharing his landscape and woodland photography. His YouTube channel is a solid resource, I’ve been watching for a couple of years now. I find his cool, calm, natural, laid-back approach is a breath of fresh air amongst the overly caffeinated YouTube landscape photography giants, and he's not trying to sell you a photography fantasy, just showing you how it's done.

Me, personally, my focus almost always ends up being technical, but Martin's work reminds me that there's more to photography than gear and settings. He captures the natural world with a genuine appreciation, and I think he has a particular talent for seeing woodland scenes. Plus, he understands the appeal of trees, which is always a bonus. I can’t quite believe how many people go about their daily lives completely ignoring trees! Trees are awesome. Martin would agree.

Why Martin's Work Stands Out (and What He's Planning):

Renewed Focus, Authentic Approach: As Martin states, "This year marks a turning of a new leaf." He's committed to sharing his passion, and his videos reflect that honesty. He shares challenges and triumphs, focusing on the process.

Woodland Expertise, Capturing Atmosphere: He excels at capturing the mood of woodlands, using light and detail to create immersive imagery. He finds those hidden spots, and conveys the feeling of being there.

Varied Portfolio, Urban Exploration: He's also accomplished beyond the woodlands, exploring street photography in cities like Whitby and London. He's got a versatile eye.

The look of the man on the left, the contrast of the hanging bags, topped off with the refelction!

Practical Advice, Grounded in Experience: His videos offer usable tips, like exposure adjustments for snow scenes. He shares what he learns, not just theories.

Prints Coming Soon, Tangible Art: He's likley to soon be selling prints, stating, "I've been capturing moments in nature that I'm truly proud of."

Keep and eye on his Instagram and www.mhlandscape.co.uk

Workshops, Practical Skill Development: Martin also offers 1-on-1 woodland workshops in Cannock Chase, focusing on the practical side of photography. Perfectly summed up with…

“Unlock your creative vision: Learn woodland photography, focus on art rather than jargon.”

Community and Connection: He's also a part of Thumbs Up Photography, a free, originally Facebook-based community for photographers of all levels. They organise meet-ups and contests, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. They also put on exhibitions, and are working on a new project right now.
