Landscape photography VLOG through the autumn tunnel, with a fall-en giant
This morning’s landscape shoot had everything I love about autumn in the hills: mist, moody skies, and a vibrant palette of dark greens and oranges. I hiked to a familiar hill where a thin mist drifted through the trees, creating soft, atmospheric conditions that were perfect for capturing the beauty of autumn.
After some initial shots on foot, I launched my drone for a series of aerial passes. The low clouds and intermittent sunlight made for dramatic, ever-changing views. To optimize my setup, I did one flight with ND filters for video at 1/50th shutter speed and another without filters for stills. This approach allowed me to capture both smooth video and high-quality images.
The views were exceptional: layers of autumn trees, winding paths, and a stunning shot of an ancient fallen beech tree. I wrapped up the session with a walk back through a tunnel of trees, already planning my return with my stills camera to capture even more of this stunning scenery. Thanks for joining me—more adventures to come!
