Coffee in the woods - April

April is hands down the best time of year to get outside and enjoy Uffmoor woods. After months of freezing temps and pretending not to need the central heating, we’ve finally hit that sweet spot—16°C, sunny skies, and a woodland bursting with life.

This time, I took a wander through Uffmoor Woods in the Clent Hills, wellies on, squelching through the still-muddy paths. The air was heavy with the smell of wild garlic, and I ended up on a little patch of bluebell-covered high ground. A perfect spot for a brew.

No music, no faked soundtracks—everything you hear was recorded right there in the woods. Coal Tits, Chiffchaffs, Blackbirds, barking deer, and even a random low-flying Canada Goose made their way into this one. It’s raw, unpolished, and exactly what it felt like to sit there with a hot coffee, soaking it all in.

If you’ve never visited the Clent Hills in spring, you’re missing out. The bluebells are unreal, and it’s just a short hop from Birmingham or the West Midlands. Can’t make it? No worries—this video is here to share a slice of what it’s like.

Grab a coffee, take a breath, and enjoy the woods as they come alive in April. Thanks for watching.
