OutIn Nano Portable Espresso Machine Review
Coffee in the woods, like a boss!
OutIn Nano Portable Espresso Machine Video Review
I’ve been caffeinated up to the eyeballs recently while trying out my new gadget, the OutIn Nano portable electric espresso machine. Currently on offer HERE ON AMAZON.
It’s a small water bottle-sized, battery-powered espresso maker, that uses an in-built heating element and pressurisation system to create perfect espresso, anywhere. From cold water to cup in under 5 minutes.
No kettle is needed.
And for those outdoors, no JetBoil and gas bottle.
Coffee and water aside, the OutIn Nano comes with everything you need.
Add either ground coffee to the holder, or a Nespresso capsule to the adapter.
Screw it together.
Pour 50-80ml of water into the stainless steel reservoir.
Turn it on.
Wait a few minutes.
Enjoy your coffee, like a boss.
The OutIn Nano comes well packed in a neat well-thought-out box with all the bits, along with some great tips and instructions leaflets.
It’s charged via USB-C, and has a battery that will last long enough to make 3-5 espressos per charge, depending on water volume and temperature. I find that to be a little limiting, but to be honest, it’s actually quite impressive, considering how much energy it takes to heat the water, create the pressure, and dispense the coffee.
It does however mean that, for me, I won’t be using this on multi-day hikes and wild camps for this reason.
It excels everywhere else though. Day hikes, at home, at work, in the car, at a campsite or in a caravan to name just a few. My new favourite gadget.
Also, and a huge benefit of the OutIn Nano, is that it also has a second mode, a hot water mode. This is where you can pour hot water into the reservoir, bypass the heating mode, and the OutIn Nano will simply crack on with making the espresso straight from the already hot water.
In this mode, it’ll create 100+ espressos on a single charge, although I’ve not tested that yet, maybe tomorrow…..
A nice little bonus.
So in my case, when I’m not using this out in the field, this sleek little bottle-sized beauty will replace my big horrible Nespresso machine, and sit on my kitchen worktop for use in hot water mode.
The OutIn Nano Portable Espresso Machine is available HERE ON AMAZON.

See the Nano in the Wild (Before it Froze!)
The Outin Nano has become a staple of my winter wild camping kit—especially for those -5°C mornings in the Shropshire Hills.
However, it’s not invincible. You can read about my full adventure on Ashlet (part of the Long Mynd) or watch it on my YouTube Channel, where I documented the reality of winter camping. Spoiler alert: I let the machine get too cold overnight, and the internal pipes froze solid. Lesson learned: keep it in your sleeping bag!
If you want to see the footage I captured before the freeze (including intimate steam shots and frosty tent setups), check out Clip Pack #152 - A Cold Night on the Long Mynd. It’s part of my extensive Wild Camping Stock Footage archive, capturing the raw reality of outdoor life.
