Here’s a round up of some recent Chichester stock video footage I captured during a week in the little West Sussex city. Yes, Chichester is a city, and a tiny one at that, with a population of just over 30,000. I know what you’re thinking… what is it that makes a town a city in the UK? It’s a status granted by the Monarch, but it usually involves having a cathedral, a university, or maybe just a large population. Anyway… some Chichester video footage -

Chichester at night - Chichester stock video footage — An aerial hyperlapse timelapse video of Chichester city center at night. A wonderful establishing shot that moves left to right, with Chichester Cathedral in the background, and the busy streets and train station in the foreground. Now this one was interesting. It’s Chichester Cross, with a drunk man in a wheelchair sticking his middle finger up at me saying “F off”, while his drunk accomplice mucks around in the background and was shouting “Welcome to Chichester”
What a place.
Shame, was a lovely sunset too, but I guess it tells the story nicely. Thanks, chaps.

Chichester cathedral stock footage — There are a few great shots of Chichester Cathedral in the collection, here’s a nice aerial reveal. And yes, it’s a drone no fly zone in Chichester, this was all captured with flying permission from Chichester/Goodwood air traffic control. Thank you Goodwood ATC, lovely spitfire. (More about that in another post)

And I really like shots like this, a low approach to Chichester Cross and Cathedral.

Chichester drone no fly zone shots — You should check out the full collection for more shots of the cathedral, but here’s another example. A low shot through the trees reveals more of this wonderful near 1000-year-old building.

You’ll also find a weird and wonderful mixture of other footage as I picked off as many interesting street scenes as possible, and then ticked off some other stuff. The collection holds city center streets, a bunch more shots of the cathedral and cross monument, and then some lovely abstract aerials of a huge greenhouse complex I found on the edge of the city. Giant glass greenhouses in some nice sunset light. A big generic growing operation, but it was nice to include it, along with some shots of Chichester railway station, Chichester bus station, the odd pub, a few restaurants, a police incident, and the drunk disabled man sticking his finger up at me.
