It seems only right to start out the Stratford-Upon-Avon collection with a few shots of Shakespearews’s birthplace. It is a beautifully restored 16th-century half-timbered house situated on Henley Street, it is where William Shakespeare was born in 1564 and spent his childhood years.
William Shakespeare’s birthplace is one of the busiest tourist spots in Stratford Upon Avon, so it was great to be able to capture it in a variety of different scenes. You’ll find low and fast drone shots along with more intricate slow aerials and gimbal work. It pops up in the background of a few of the statue shots, as well as being spottable in many of the wider generic views. This one for example, his birthplace is on the left of the main town center street, and you can also see right up to the Stratford Wheel and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. It looks wonderful in 4K.
The Stratford Wheel itself features in a few of the shots too. This one works as a fantastic establishing aerial reveal of the River Avon and a couple of Stratford’s beautiful old river crossings.
The Stratford-Upon-Avon stock footage collection could never be complete without a few more key locations, so you’ll also find Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Stratford Racecourse, the Shakespeare Statue, Shakespeare’s new place, the Jester, the American Fountain, and more. All in 4K UHD, and exclusively held here in the Stratford-Upon-Avon Collection.
And that’s it. It was great to spend a couple of days filming in Stratford-Upon-Avon, what a beautiful place. The only thing it’s missing is a McDonald’s, after a long hard couple of days I was desperate to go in and order a Macbeth.
Cheers all
Chris
